Who is DudeServers?
A small, US-based hosting company run by people who host and play on their own servers. No call centre, no upsell scripts. You get fast setup, fair prices and a human when something goes wrong.
How fast is my server actually ready?
Most servers are online within a few minutes of payment clearing. You get an email with your control panel login, and the server is already installing when you open it.
Can I run mods?
Yes. Every plan includes a full game control panel with a file manager, SFTP access and, for supported games, one-click Workshop and mod management. If the game supports it, so do we.
How many players can my server handle?
Every tier shows a recommended player range for that game, based on a typical mod list. It is guidance, not a cap: you set the player limit yourself. Heavy modpacks, big maps and old worlds need more headroom, so pick the range that matches how you actually play.
What if my server gets slow?
Lag or restarts usually mean the server has outgrown its tier. Check the RAM and CPU graphs in the panel, then upgrade from the Client Area. It takes minutes and your world, mods and settings stay put. Our Fair Use and Resource Policy explains how plans are sized.
Where are your servers?
Our first location is in the western United States. More regions are on the roadmap as we grow, and existing customers will be able to move when they open.
What control panel do I get?
A customised Pterodactyl panel with live console, file manager, scheduled tasks, backups, and game-specific settings pages so you can change rates, difficulty and world options without editing config files.
Can I upgrade or downgrade later?
Yes. Move between tiers from the client area at any time. Your world, mods and settings stay put; only the resources change.
How do backups work?
Every plan includes backup slots you can trigger or schedule from the panel, and you can download them any time. Higher tiers include more slots.
What if I want to cancel?
Plans are monthly with no contract. Cancel from the client area and the server runs to the end of the period you paid for.
How do I get support?
Open a ticket in the client area or reach us on Discord. You will talk to the same people who run the servers.
Don't see your game?
We add games on request.
If it has a dedicated server, we can probably host it. Tell us the game and we will build the panel template and price it fairly.
